 But seriously, you cannot really see it, you can at best feel it. And for that you have to engage them...
 Also, it can be hard not to confuse heartlessness (which is a mental phenomenon) with the effects of certain mental disorders.
 A heartless person chooses not to be emphatic and compassionate.
